Winter
Shetland winters are harsh, dramatic and stunning in equal measures. Its not unusual to be subjected to a steady gale force 10 for several days at a time, spiced up with the occasional force 12. The island’s winter colours are full of ‘washed in’ sodden hues, that bounce between the diffuse and dazzlingly crisp; weather dependent.
These paintings have all been completed during winter months.
The studio shop houses a collection of gallery ready work. The paintings are either framed and ready to hang, or on a canvas or cradled wooden panels, which have a deep edge making them suitable for installing immediately in your home.
